Bridge Street Health / Move to Thrive
WHAT IS MOVE TO THRIVE?
Your doctor's hands are a diagnostic tool too.
Most doctors diagnose with tests. Dr. Hendrixson also diagnoses with touch.
As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Hendrixson has specialized training in medical school in a hands-on evaluation and treatment, Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT). Grounded in medical science, it looks at how your body moves, compensates and carries tension. OMT helps identify areas where muscles, joints, fascia or the nervous system are under strain resulting in pain or discomfort.
In a Move to Thrive session, he uses precise, gentle hands-on techniques — careful pressure, guided movement, targeted stretching — to find what's out of alignment in your body and correct it. Physician-performed hands-on care delivered in a setting designed around you.
The goal isn't to manage your symptoms. It's to find out why they're there — and fix them.
"Some approaches only treat the area that hurts. Dr. Hendrixson treats the whole person who's hurting."

CONDITIONS TREATED
Is Move to Thrive right for you?
Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT) can be helpful for treating a wide range of conditions — especially those you may have struggled with for years without getting relief. Some common conditions that can benefit from OMT include:
Lower back pain
Hip and knee pain
Neck pain & stiffness
Shoulder pain and stiffness
Overuse injuries (e.g. tennis elbow, IT band issues)
SI joint and pelvic pain
Sports injuries - golf, pickleball, tennis, etc.

Not sure if your condition is a fit? Call or text us at 513.790.2923 - we're happy to talk it through before you book an appointment.
THE PHYSICIAN DIFFERENCE
This isn't physical therapy. Or a massage. This is medicine.
If you have seen a physical therapist or chiropractor, OMT will feel familiar. It's hands on; designed to restore movement and help your body heal. A main difference is OMT is done by a fully licensed physician who treats the whole person. OMT treats muscles, joints, fascia and soft tissue throughout the body to address the root cause of your pain.
As a physician, Dr. Hendrixson is able to order imaging, labs, prescribe medications, and make referrals to specialists when needed. This is whole body care. Body, mind, and spirit. Guided by both medical training and a belief in the body's God-given ability to heal.
Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine complete the same medical school curriculum as MDs — plus an additional 200 hours of specialized training in the body's structure and hands-on treatment techniques.

WHAT TO EXPECT
What happens at your first visit?
1
You talk. Dr. Hendrixson listens.
Dr. Hendrixson begins every session with a real conversation — not a clipboard. He wants to understand where you hurt, how long it's been going on, what you've already tried, and what else is happening in your health picture.
2
Dr. Hendrixson assesses with his hands.
Before any treatment begins, Dr. Hendrixson uses touch to evaluate your structure — identifying areas of restriction, tension, and imbalance that may be contributing to your symptoms. This diagnostic step is the foundation of OMT.
3
You leave feeling different.
Most patients notice something in the very first session — some reduced pain, improved range of motion, a sense of ease in the body. This isn't a treatment you have to wait weeks to feel working.
4
You build a plan together.
Before you leave, Dr. Hendrixson will give you his honest assessment of how many sessions he believes you'll need and what you can realistically expect. He will also talk about simple, easy-to-remember exercises you can do at home.
FAQ
Common questions
Do I need to be a Bridge Street Health patient to book?
Move to Thrive is open to everyone. You don't need to be a BSH member. Many patients who experience care here choose to explore membership — we're happy to walk you through what that looks like and answer any questions you have.
Is this covered by insurance?
No. Move to Thrive is only offered on a direct-pay basis. While we don't bill insurance, all sessions are HSA and FSA eligible.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition and how long you've been dealing with it. Acute problems often respond in 2–3 sessions. Chronic conditions typically benefit from a structured series — which is why we offer the Reset Package. Dr. Hendrixson will recommend what he believes is the best option for you.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe the experience as a deep release. Move to Thrive uses gentle pressure, guided movement, and careful manipulation — not forceful adjustments. If anything feels uncomfortable, let Dr. Hendrixson know immediately.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing — athletic wear or casual clothes work well. You remain fully clothed throughout your session.
Can I combine this with the Nourish to Flourish program?
Absolutely — and we think it's one of the most powerful combinations available. Physical correction and anti-inflammatory nutrition work together in ways that amplify results from both programs. Ask us about integrating both into your care.
