Every year the Hendrixsons head back to Hilton Head — a tradition that started with three young sons. It now include daughters-in-law and grandkids. It's the kind of week that the whole family looks forward to year after year. Growing family, growing memories.
Whether it's a quiet sunset on the beach with his wife, Rebecca, a round of golf with his sons or an ice cream run with the whole crew, Mike treasures the time together most.
The Search for Answers Never Stops
Mike finds real satisfaction in helping patients find answers.
Mike loves being a doctor — especially the moments when a he finally finds an answer for a patient to something that's gone unresolved, sometimes for years. Rather than treat the symptoms in front of him, he digs into what's really going on before and after every visit, so the diagnosis is on target and a patient is actually headed toward wellness, not just relief.
"Finally someone figured out what's really wrong." It's the kind of thing patients say once they have found their way to Dr. Hendrixson - and it's exactly the response that reaffirms to him he's doing the work God called him to.

There's probably nothing Mike enjoys more than a round of golf. When not playing, you'll find him on the practice tee refining his swing.
While he can still beat his sons, he genuinely looks forward to the day when one of them can finally say, "I won the golf outing with Dad."

Mike enjoys working on the family home - outdoor projects and remodeling. As the son of a builder, he learned that taking care of your home is a skill worth keeping.
It's easy to picture a doctor behind a desk or exam table. It's harder to picture him on a ladder, behind a mower or framing out a room. But that's exactly where you'll usually find Mike when he's not at Bridge Street Health.
